Joseph Wilson

He is the Pre-Award Manager for Team B.
Joseph brings 16 years of experience in research administration with Research Management Services (RMS), the Department of Medicine, the School of Dentistry, and Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute (LPPI). His experience runs the gamut of PHS/NIH mechanisms, private foundation grants, City and State contracts, and clinical trials. Prior to being a research administrator, he was the IT Manager for the AIDS Health Project, part of LPPI. Joseph has been described as understanding, gentle but firm, and professional. He has a great sense of humor, which is needed to balance the seriousness of the work we do. He is known to be a good trainer and mentor, and is always willing to lend a hand. On his off time Joseph likes to hike, bike, and travel.
When we asked Joseph what he was most looking forward to in this role, he said, “I look forward to bringing Team B online and sharing my experience with my team. I think RMS will be a win/win situation for both PIs and the University.”
